Works on any e-ink device — or just print it
Designed first and foremost for the reMarkable Paper Pro — 3:4 portrait, edge to edge, high contrast. The same format reads well on any e-ink device that handles PDFs, and prints cleanly on paper too. Pure black and white, no decoration, just the board and the position.
Every set is 100 hand-picked puzzles, one per page, solution on the next. Five difficulty tiers based on Lichess ELO rating: Beginners (400–800), Novice (800–1200), Club (1200–1600), Advanced (1600–2000), Expert (2000–2500). Free sets are available at every level. PDFs are 210×280 mm (3:4 portrait, matches the Paper Pro's 11.8″ 1620×2160 display).

Are the puzzle sets free?
Free sets are available at every difficulty level, from Beginners to Expert. Every set currently published on the site is a free download, no signup required. Puzzle data is sourced from the Lichess open puzzle database (CC0 public domain).
Does it work on the reMarkable Paper Pro?
Yes — the PDFs are 210×280 mm (3:4 portrait), which matches the Paper Pro's 11.8″ 1620×2160 e-ink display edge to edge. It also renders cleanly on the Paper Pure, reMarkable 2, reMarkable 1, and any other e-ink tablet that opens standard PDFs.
Can I print the PDFs on paper?
Yes. The 210×280 mm page fits on A4 with room to spare and prints cleanly — the boards are pure black and white, so nothing depends on color reproduction.
How do I load a PDF onto my reMarkable?
Download the PDF, then either drag it into the reMarkable web app (my.remarkable.com) to sync over Wi-Fi, or connect the tablet by USB and use the reMarkable desktop app.
What difficulty levels are available?
